  1. Great job! I think it may be a required book from high school but I don't remember reading it!

Good luck with the rest of the read-a-thon

    1. Actual it wasn't a required book for me because I don't live in America where it does seem to be read a lot of school, that and also To Kill A Mockingbird. I think I did prefer the required reading for American school more so than that UK ones (Shakespeare, Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, etc...).

  2. How are you getting on with The Catcher in the Rye? I thought it was okay but I wasn't that impressed given that everyone always claims it's one of the Big Great Stupendous American Novels... :(
Have a good day today, happy reading!

    1. Hello Ellie,

I have finished The Catcher In The Rye and I really enjoyed this book, though I do agree that I don't really view it as the great American novel, I don't think it was that epic. But I do think that a lot of teenages could relate to Holden though.
Thank you for commenting and happy reading also.

  4. I am a fan of Catcher in the Rye. I'm glad you liked it. There's actually a fair amount of symbolism and sub-text going on...maybe that's why it's on the curriculum. Plus I think a lot of teens do relate to Holden. I've had other teens tell me he's a whiner.
