Books | Tag | Reading Habits

Hello Everyone,

So today I will be doing a tag which has been floating around on Youtube for quite awhile now. This tag was created by The Book Jazz and I was tagged by The Book Tower. So let's jump right in.

Do you have a certain place at home for reading?

Not really, I will read anywhere, sofa, bed, desk chair, floor, wherever whenever.

Bookmark or random piece of paper

Both, but most of the time it is just whatever is closet to me at the time.

Can you just stop reading or do you have to stop reading after a chapter/a certain amount of pages?

I rarely ever stop at the end of a chapter, I always just stop at any random place. sometimes in the middle of a sentence as well.

Do you eat or drink while reading?

Yes, all the time. mostly drinking coffee though.

Multitasking: Music or TV while reading?

Usually I listen to music but I can read while watching TV if I don't care what is happening.

One book at a time or several at once?

One book at a time.

Reading at home or everywhere?

Home mostly, but I do like reading at the beach or in a park.

Reading out loud or silently in your head?

Silently in my head.

Do you ever read ahead or even skip pages?

Yes, I don't know why but I always look up for spoilers.

Breaking the spine or keeping it like new

I do try to keep good care of my book and do like it if they look like new but I wouldn't not read it if it meant breaking the spine.

Do you write in your books?

No never.

Who do you tag?

Anyone and everyone is welcome to do this tag.

Book Review | Graphic Novels | Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life (Scott Pilgrim #1) by Bryan Lee O'Malley

| Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life (Scott Pilgrim #1) | Bryan Lee O'Malley |
| Published - 2004 | Format - Paperback | Pages - 168 |
| Goodreads | My Rating 6/10 |

Scott Pilgrim's life is totally sweet. He's 23 years old, he's in a rockband, he's ""between jobs,"" and he's dating a cute high school girl. Nothingcould possibly go wrong, unless a seriously mind-blowing, dangerouslyfashionable, rollerblading delivery girl named Ramona Flowers starts cruisingthrough his dreams and sailing by him at parties. Will Scott's awesome life getturned upside-down? Will he have to face Ramona's seven evil ex-boyfriends inbattle? The short answer is yes. The long answer is Scott Pilgrim, Volume 1: Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life

| My Thoughts |

I had seen the movie Scott Pilgrim VS. The World not to long ago and had loved it, so when my sister got this out of the library, I knew I had to read it too and I am glad I did because I also loved this as well.
This book was funny and kind of crazy. I loved all of the video game elements that were included and I liked the play-a-long page that was included when the band rehursed there song and I thought that it made the book more interactive because of this which is pretty awsome.
Anyway, I liked this book and would read more of the series.

Books | Book Tags | The Autumn Book Tag

Hello everyone,

So today I was tagged by The Book Tower to do The Autumn Book. Now this originally started on Youtube by Dani On Books but I will be doing this in blog format. So let's begin.

1. What is your favourite thing about Autumn?
The crisp golden leaves falling from the trees above.

2. What book on your shelves reminds you of going back to school/your school days?
I don't have any of the books I read in School anymore but one that is read a lot of school that I own is To Kill A Mocking Bird by Harper Lee

3. Find a book on your shelf which has something  autumn related on it.
The only book I have that is anywhere close to being related to Autumn is After Summer by Hannah Harvey

4. What is your favourite horror/halloween story?
I do not read horror books and I don't take part in Halloween. So I do not have an anwser for this question.

5. What is your favourite horror film?
Same as above, I don't watch horror films, I am a chicken and scare easily.

6. Which book release are you most looking forward to this autumn?
Need it, want it, must have it, NOW.

7. Which film release are you most looking forward to this autumn?
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

8. Show three books that you are hoping on reading this season.
Pretties (Uglies, #2)

So that's all for now and if any of you want to do this tag then your all welcome to take part. But for now, goodbye.

Fall Into Reading | Read-A-Thon | Goals

Hello everyone, so I will be taking part of The Bibliophile Sisters first annual Fall Into Reading read-a-thon. Today, I will be writing my goals for the read-a-thon.
  1. Read Two Books (I usually take forever to finish a book)
  2. Write daily updates
  3. Write book reviews
  4. Read a book that has been on my TBR for a long time
So that's it for now, I will be, as stated in my goals,  writing daily updates here on my blog when the read-a-thon begins. But for now, goodbye.

Book Review | YA Dystopian | Uglies (Uglies #1) by Scott Westerfeld

| Uglies (Uglies #1) | Scott Westerfeld |
| Published - 2005 | Format - Paperback | Pages - 425 |
| Goodreads | My Rating 8/10 |

| Summary from Goodreads |

Tally can't wait to turn sixteen and become pretty. Sixteen is the magic number that brings a transformation from repellent Ugly into a stunningly attractive Pretty, and catapults you into a high-tech paradise where your only job is to have a really great time. In just a few weeks, Tally will be there.

But Tally's new friend, Shay, isn't sure she wants to be Pretty. She'd rather risk life on the outside. When Shay runs away, Tally learns about a whole new side of the Pretty world - and it isn't very pretty. The authorities offer Tally the worst choice she can imagine: find her friend and turn her in, or never turn Pretty at all. The choice Tally makes changes her world forever.

| My Thoughts |

I have heard this book  talked about a lot on the Booktuber community on Youtube, so after a while I thought I would check it out and I am so glad I did. I loved this book and went straight online to buy the next book in the series.

The characters were enjoyable to read about and to see how they developed throughout the novel. I especially liked reading about Tally and David and seeing how Tally's character developed as she learns more and more about the reality of the world that she grew up in.

I also enjoyed reading about the different places that make up the setting for this novel.

This book lost a couple of points though because I personally felt that this book would have worked better in a first person narration. Of course I don't know about the other three books in the series and if it could have work for them as well.

Overall, I rated this book 8/10 and I definitely would recommend it.

Bout Of Books | Challenges | Book Spine Poetry

Hello everyone,

So the next Bout Of Books challenge is hosted by Such A Novel Idea and it is a book spine poetry challenge. so what you have to do is stack books together so the titles create a poem. so here's what I came up with.
Before you go, wonder where she went across the universe

Bout Of Books | Challenges | TBR List

Hello everyone,

So today's Bout Of Books challenge is hosted by Musings of A Bookshop Girl, and today we have to answer two questions which I have answered below.

Which 5 books are at the top f your TBR pile at this moment?

If I gave you a wad of cash and sent you into a bookshop right now, which 5 books would you buy to add to the stack?
